How to activate Newsletter Subscription (Mailchimp)

Shopify uses the Mailchimp platform for newsletter subscription, therefore, you must create an account on the Mailchimp website. The main goal is to create the Form Action URL needed to activate a subscription form in your store newsletter settings. Following the step below to get the URL

#1: Log into your MailChimp account

#2: Click the Lists menu in the top navigation bar

#3: Then, choose the “Signup forms” option from the drop-down at the right hand side

#4: Now, click the Embedded forms title

#5: On the appeared screen scroll down to see the “Copy/paste onto your site” section with the MailChimp code

#6: Highlight the code and then use the Windows/Mac OS CTRL+F/CMND+F key combination to copy it to the clipboard. You should look for the form action code now

Next steps, you go to your Shopify admin to open the Theme Editor

#1: Click on the Online stores > at Themes tab > go to Customize theme

#2: On the Theme Settings > General Settings > at the Subscription section > scroll down to paste the form code into the Form URL box

Done. Your Mailchimp is working now. You should test it by subscribing to your newsletter Mailchimp.
